Hey there — I’m Chad 👋
I’m a Principal Software Engineer and AI & UX/UI Platform Architect who’s spent almost two decades helping big systems — and the teams behind them — get smarter, faster, and a little more human.
Right now, I work at Microsoft, where I build large-scale generative AI systems that handle tens of millions of API calls a month. Think of it as designing conversations between people and machines that actually work — responsibly, reliably, and at enterprise scale.
My focus is on multi-agent and multi-modal systems: teaching AI to reason across text, code, and context. Lately, that means everything from orchestrating intelligent agents with shared memory to optimizing cloud pipelines that cut LLM costs by 30% without losing precision.
Under the hood, I’m hands-on — working in Python, TypeScript, and Swift across React, FastAPI, C#, and Azure AI. But what drives me most is turning AI theory into something useful, beautiful, and sustainable.
Before AI took center stage, I was deep in UX and frontend architecture — building design systems, mobile experiences, and data visualizations that helped humans make sense of complexity. That early work taught me a truth I still believe today: good engineering starts with empathy.
Writing helps me connect dots — between engineering, design, business, and behavior. I believe AI shouldn’t replace creativity; it should amplify our ability to create, decide, and understand. My work — and my writing — live at that intersection.
